Biographie
Fondé par Daniel J. Terra (1911-1996), mécène américain. Supervisé par la Terra foundation for the arts dont il expose les collections ; celles-ci sont constituées d'oeuvres de peintres américains ayant travaillé notamment à Giverny ; une institution parallèle existe à Chicago, le Terra museum of American arts.
